Terms of Use

1. The licence

You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the Apple Standard End User Licence Agreement, which applies in full and prevails over these terms wherever the two disagree. You may not copy the app, resell it, reverse engineer it, or redistribute the library it contains as your own product.

2. Free use and the purchase

The app is free to download. Without a purchase you may read 10 new passages a day, keep up to 12 favourites, browse every author and topic, and share cards carrying a small watermark.

Timeless Unlimited is a one-time, non-consumable purchase of $8.99 (the price shown at the moment of purchase in your local currency governs). It removes the daily limit and the favourites limit, turns off the watermark, and covers every author added later. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and nothing is billed again.

The purchase is tied to your Apple ID. Reinstalling the app or moving to a new device restores it with “Restore purchase” in Settings.

3. Refunds

Apple sells the app and handles all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but write to us if something is wrong and we will help you get it sorted.

4. The library

Quotations are attributed to the person the passage is credited to, drawn from published works, public talks and interviews, and used in short extract for the purposes of quotation, commentary and study. Translations, where they exist, are credited in the source data.

Attributions are checked but not infallible — misattributed quotations are a well-populated genre. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix or remove it in the next content update. Author portraits are used under the licences listed on the credits page.

The passages are provided for reading. They are not advice — medical, legal, financial or otherwise — and a dead Stoic is not your therapist.

5. Your content

Collections you build and favourites you keep are yours and stay on your device. We claim no rights over them and, having no copy, cannot use them for anything.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to inflate or manipulate the public like counters, extract the bundled library in bulk for republication, or interfere with the app’s operation for other people. Doing so ends the licence.

7. Availability and changes

The app is provided as it is, without a promise that it is uninterrupted or error-free. Content updates, feature changes and the discontinuation of features are all possible; where a change would remove something the purchase paid for, we will say so in the release notes.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded, and total liability is limited to what you paid for the app. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and your statutory consumer rights are untouched.

9. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Polish law, without displacing the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
